The physical basis of a transformer
Is mutual indication between two
Circuit linked by a common magnetic
Flux.
Transformer construction
In its simplest form, it consists of two inductive coils
Which electrically separated but magnetically linked
Through a path of low reluctance.
The two coils posse’s high mutual inductance.
The first coil, in which electrical energy is fed
From a.c supply is called primary winding
And the other from witch energy is drawn out
Is called secondary winding
Working principle of a transformer
If one coil is connected to a source of alternating voltage
An alternating flux is set up in the laminated core
Most of which is linked with the other coiling which
It produces mutually induced e.g. (faraday low).
If the second coil circuit closed, a current flows in it
And so electric energy is transformed from first coil
To the second coil.
